Feather Needle File Cut #2 Nicholson, lot 48

Description

Nicholson feather needle file # cut.  Feather files have a rhombus shape in cross section, i.e. they are thick in the middle and taper down to a thin edge.  New, from master carton so no packaging.

Swiss style needle files and riffler files use a system of 00, 0, 2, 4, & 6 for the coarsness of the teeth with 00 bing the coarsest and 6 the finest.

Any file will work with steel, aluminum, wood, etc., though the finer toothed ones will tend to load up the teeth more especially with softer materials like wood or alluminum.

Start with a coarse file and if you like the surface finish you are done. If not, go to the next finer one, etc. Just like using sandpaper.
